Manner of performing
After the dissolving and precise marking of several spots on the face, the preparation is injected by means of the finest (insulin) needle under the skin, i.e. into the muscle. The sensation of pain at injecting is minimal and is prevented by previous skin cooling. The application of the local anaesthetic is not necessary. The return to regular activities is possible immediately after the intervention. The procedure lasts around 15 minutes, the effect begins after 2-3 days, and full effect is achieved after 7 days.
Redness, skin itching, mild swelling and appearance of haematomas (bruises) and in some cases temporary weakness of the surrounding muscles; in rare cases mild and temporary droop of the upper eyelid or eyebrow, that lasts 1-2 weeks.
The procedure is not recommended during pregnancy or lactation, during the therapy with Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) and in some nervous or muscle disorders. The effect lasts for 5-6 months or longer and it can be repeated after 6 months.
